Folarin Balogun will not leave Arsenal cheaply if he is sold this summer.

The 21-year-old scored 21 goals in France's Ligue 1 during an impressive loan spell at Reims last season.

But Balogun recently made it clear that he has no intention of going out on loan again.

He either wants to stay at the Emirates Stadium and fight for a first-team place or move away from Arsenal on a permanent deal.

Balogun's current contract has another two years left on it, meaning Arsenal are in a strong position in terms of being able to demand a significant transfer fee.

Indeed, according to The Sun, the Gunners have set a lofty asking price of £35 million.

If Arsenal's asking price is met this summer then Balogun will become the second most expensive USA soccer star of all time.

Christian Pulisic holds the record as the USA's costliest player, after Chelsea paid Borussia Dortmund £57.6m to sign him in 2019.

Next on the list is currently Brenden Aaronson, who joined Leeds United from RB Salzburg for around £25m last year.

Among the clubs reportedly interested in Balogun are RB Leipzig, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Crystal Palace.

Balogun made his debut for the USMNT earlier this month in a 3-0 win over Mexico in the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Nations League.

Three days later he scored his first senior international goal in the final as the USA beat Canada 2-0.

Asked about his club future while on international duty, Balogun told reporters: "What I can say is that I definitely won't go on loan again.

"I'm not sure on the discussions that are going to take place, I'm not sure what's going to happen.

"But I'm just committed to now, I try to stay present."
