NHL Wednesday bets: Three shot prop targets

We had an awesome Tuesday here with our NHL bets, and now it's about sustained winning.

On this Wednesday in hockey, there are just four games on the schedule. While picks are a bit lighter than normal, I feel the quality makes up for it.

Here are three skaters I like to hit their shots on goal (SOG) props tonight.

Roope Hintz over 2.5 SOG (+105 DK)

Hintz had a rough stretch there, but he had a taste of his old success with a monster two-goal, four SOG game on Monday.

The hope is that Hintz will be able to carry that momentum into this game against Edmonton. The Oilers are far more vulnerable to shots at home, allowing 33.5 per game in their past ten and 36.4 in their last five.

Edmonton has struggled against centers recently, allowing the sixth-most shots per game to the position since the beginning of March.

What locks this play in for me instead of the more steady Tyler Seguin (-140), is that Hintz has hit against the Oilers in both games this season, finishing with four and three shots on net.

Add on that he's been better on the road, covering his SOG in seven of 10, and I love the +105 play here.

Hintz has scored in both games against Edmonton and could be worth a look in that department as well.

Seth Jones over 2.5 SOG (-104 FD)

I bet defensemen against Arizona before I pour myself a cup of coffee in the morning.

No team allows more shots to the position than the Coyotes, and Arizona in general lets up so many shots that there is plenty to go around.

I love the -105 here for Seth Jones, who has hit in seven of 10 and all three games against Arizona this season.

Jones is averaging 5.3 SOG in three games against the Coyotes this season, love this spot.

Jared McCann over 2.5 SOG (-135 DK)

It's slightly juiced, but I think Jared McCann is in too good of a spot to pass up.

You may be surprised to hear that Colorado is allowing the most shots per game on the road in the past 10 games at 37.9.

That number jumps up to 42.4 in their past five, it's been quite an interesting stretch here for the Avalanche.

We load up the most reliable shooter on the Seattle end in McCann, who has covered his SOG prop in four of his last five games and seven of his past 10 at home.

When these teams last met, McCann poured on a ridiculous eight shots on goal. Here's to him repeating the performance.

Best of luck Wednesday night! Let's have ourselves a great evening by cashing some NHL bets.
