Blackhawks Injury Updates: Nick Foligno, Tyler Johnson, Connor Murphy
Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Blackhawks have been decimated by injuries this season. Notably, Connor Bedard has been missing from action, suffocating the Blackhawks’ offense in the process. However, reinforcements may be on the way as Chicago begins a four-game road trip. Here's the latest on Nick Foligno, Tyler Johnson, and Connor Murphy.

Foligno will travel with the Blackhawks on their upcoming road swing. His status for Monday's game against the Vancouver Canucks is still to be determined, but the veteran forward should return from injured reserve sometime this week.

Foligno has been on IR since Jan. 6 due to a fractured left finger, an injury he suffered when standing up for Bedard in a fight. The 36-year-old practiced in full on Sunday and expects to return to game action shortly.

While Foligno's return is imminent, Bedard won't travel on the Blackhawks' road trip.

Additionally, Johnson and Murphy could return to action in the near future. Neither player will be ready to begin the road trip, but both could join the team at some point before the NHL All-Star break.

Johnson has been out since Jan. 1 with a right foot injury and Murphy missed the last three games due to a lower-body issue.
