Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills won't face a felony charge for his participation in a protest demanding justice in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor.
Stills and dozens of others gathered at the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron on Tuesday to demand the arrests of the officers involved in Taylor's death. Police arrested them for "intimidating a participant in a legal process."
On Friday, however, outlets such as ESPN and the Associated Press reported that Jefferson County Attorney Mike O'Connell declared "in the interest of justice and the promotion of the free exchange of ideas, we will dismiss that charge."
The 28-year-old wideout, who has kneeled during the national anthem to protest police violence and racial injustices, wore a shirt that read "Breonna Taylors Killers Are Still Police" to the protest.
