Veteran wide receiver Kenny Stills won't have an opportunity to atone for a drop that directly led to an impressive interception in last Thursday's game between the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys that the Saints lost 27-17 to fall to 5-7.
We could watch this interception by Jayron Kearse all day!pic.twitter.com/Fb1uwUohZy

Per Chase Goodbread of the NFL's website, the Saints have waived Stills ahead of this coming Sunday's matchup at the New York Jets. Stills appeared in 10 contests during his second stint with the organization this fall and recorded only five catches for 64 yards and one touchdown across those outings. He notched zero receptions on five targets in the defeat against Dallas and earned criticism from head coach Sean Payton after the game.
"I'll be honest with you, we gotta catch that first interception," Payton said while referencing what he clearly believed was a costly bobble from Stills.
Payton and company must still be displeased over that moment because the New Orleans offense needs all the help it can get coming off five straight losses. Taysom Hill made his first start of the season at quarterback against Dallas but completed only 19-of-41 passes for 264 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions, and he also suffered an injury to the middle finger of his throwing hand that could ultimately require surgery to repair at some point during the winter.
Such assistance won't be coming from Stills, who is now looking for a new NFL home.
