Raiders Make Several Early-Week Practice Squad Moves
USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders have already made several practice squad transactions as they gear up to take on the New York Jets this Sunday.

On Tuesday, the club announced the signing of wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson to the practice squad and, correspondingly, the release of linebackers Austin Ajiake and Isaac Darkangelo.

Tuesday's signings come a day after the Raiders announced their signing of offensive tackle Brandon Parker to the practice squad.

Parker, a former third-round pick, had spent his first four NFL seasons with the club, having made 32 starts in 54 games.

Despite missing the entire 2022 campaign with a pectoral injury that he suffered in the 2022 Hall of Fame Game, Las Vegas signed Parker to a one-year contract back in March.

He was then placed on IR in August and waived by the club just days later.

Wilkerson, who is in his third active NFL season, was waived by the Raiders on Saturday.

So far, he has played in just the first two weeks of the season for Las Vegas, having played a combined 42 offensive snaps.

Wilkerson was signed by the Raiders back in May after he declared free agency in March.

The 26-year-old wideout had previously been with the Indianapolis Colts, who signed him in February after the New England Patriots waived him.

Wilkerson spent two seasons with New England, where he played four games and notched two receiving touchdowns on just four receptions.

Ajiake and Darkangelo were both signed to the practice squad on Nov. 1. The Denver Broncos signed the former in early August before being waived by the club on Aug. 28.

Darkangelo had already been with the Raiders several times this year, starting in the 2023 training camp. He was released just days later before being signed to the practice squad on Aug. 31. The Raiders then rereleased Darkangelo on Sept. 11.

Darkangelo had been waived by the Detroit Lions back in May, shortly after they signed him as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Illinois.

The Silver and Black will remain at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to take on the New York Jets on Sunday, Nov. 12, at 8:20 p.m. EST/5:20 p.m. PST.
