Collins played 17 seasons in the NFL for a multitude of teams including the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts. He still ranks in the top 20 all-time in NFL history in career passing yards and completions.

He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2018 and is one of 25 former Penn State players and coaches who have been enshrined in the Hall of Fame.
