While the NFL calendar is inching closer and closer to the draft at the end of the month, there is still a group of free agents looking for a new home.

Among those veteran players is cornerback Marcus Peters, who has been with the Baltimore Ravens since 2019 but remains unsigned.

NFL Trade Rumors suggested the Atlanta Falcons as a potential landing spot for Peters should he leave the Ravens.

"Atlanta has veteran CB Casey Hayward but he's 33 and missed most of last season with an injury," NFL Trade Rumors writes. "Peters is only a few years younger and it's debatable if he has more in the tank left than Hayward. Falcons senior defensive assistant Bob Sutton was the defensive coordinator in Kansas City while Peters was there, however, so he may be able to vouch for him."

This past season, Peters played in 13 games for the Ravens, recording 47 tackles, one sack and an interception.

The Falcons are potentially linked to a couple cornerbacks to pair with A.J. Terrell with the No. 8 overall pick, including Oregon's Christian Gonzalez and Illinois' Devon Witherspoon.

Should the Falcons sign Peters, it will free up the need to take one early in the draft and allow the team to prioritize other positions, like defensive end and left guard.
