Former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver LaVon Brazill is hospitalized after being shot in the head Friday night in Florida. Minimal information has been released as this is a breaking story. There is no update as to what Brazill’s condition at the hospital. Brazil attended Ohio University and was a sixth round selection by the Colts in the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the Colts, amassing 23 receptions for 347 yards and three touchdowns. He has not played in the league since 2013.  A friend and former college teammate, Eric Herman, is requesting prayers for Brazill. This is the second time a current or former NFL wide receiver was shot in the head in Florida. Less than a month ago, St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey was shot twice in the head. Thankfully, he has survived and is progressing in recovery. Obviously this is an ongoing situation and we’ll bring you more updates as we hear.
