The Chicago White Sox will send 23 prospects to participate in Spring Breakout, a new event hosted by MLB and MiLB to showcase the game's best young talent. White Sox farmhands will visit Cubs' prospects on Friday, March 15 at 4:05 PM CT at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona.

The Crew

Unsurprisingly, White Sox top prospect Colson Montgomery will headline the South Siders' roster. Along with Montgomery, 11 of the top 30 prospects in the organization will suit up for Spring Breakout. Eight pitchers, three catchers, six infielders, and six outfielders comprise the White Sox 23-man roster.

Montgomery, the club's future shortstop and MLB's ninth overall prospect , will have the help of third baseman Bryan Ramos, catcher Edgar Quero, and pitcher Jordan Leasure. All of those names are non-roster invitees in camp with the White Sox.

Quero and Leasure were acquired in separate trades at last season's deadline with the Los Angeles Angels and Dodgers, respectively.

What's On Tap Next?

Spring Breakout will allow fans to see the White Sox' top prospects across all levels in action at the same time. Furthermore, we've seen little of this group, with as many as 70 players in camp and the minimal White Sox' Spring Training TV broadcast schedule. MLB Digital, Marquee Sports Network, and ESPN+ gameday will broadcast all the action.
