New 2025 NFL mock draft predicts that Tennessee Vols standout will land with Titans

The latest 2025 NFL mock draft from CBS Sports has a Tennessee Vols standout landing with the Tennessee Titans. 

CBS Sports' Chris Trapasso has the Titans selecting Vols edge rusher James Pearce with the No. 2 overall selection in his latest 2025 NFL mock draft. 

From CBS Sports: Pearce was ridiculously productive in the SEC last season and has the size and traits to go this high in the draft.

Numerous mock drafts are predicting that Pearce will go No. 1 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, so this is certainly a realistic scenario -- though I'm not sure I agree with the idea that the Titans will have the No. 2 selection in the draft after all of the improvements the franchise has made this offseason. 

As far as Pierce is concerned, he appears to be a legitimate game-changing pass rusher that has the potential to excel in the NFL. 

The Charlotte, NC native had a breakout sophomore season for Tennessee in 2023, totaling 14.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. He also had an interception returned for a touchdown in the Vols' win against the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Citrus Bowl.
