Former Alabama DL impressing pro scouts by winning 1-on-1 matchups at Senior Bowl practices
Gary Cosby Jr.-USA TODAY Sports

A former Alabama defensive lineman is making a statement to NFL scouts at the Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Justin Eboigbe, a native Georgian, sees an opportunity to increase his draft value. He’s been working offensive linemen at Whitney Hancock Stadium (Mobile, Ala.) showing professional teams his skills. The 6-foot-4, 292-pounder looks like one of the best interior linemen on defense in this year’s draft class. Eboigbe won 1-on-1 matchups against 300+ pound offensive linemen with his push-pull-swim in practices. He threw guys around in drills to attack the coach working the station as the quarterback.

Eboigbe turned in production in multiple ways last season for Alabama.

He came back for a fifth year after missing much of the 2022 season with a neck/spine injury. The former four-star recorded 64 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, four quarterback hurries, and a pass breakup. Eboigbe pushed the Crimson Tide’s defense to a Southeastern Conference Championship and the College Football Playoff. He projects as a day two selection, but Eboigbe is pushing to come off the board in the second round. He would be a steal for a team needed an experienced lineman.
